The Wading Game Lyrics

[Intro]
I've got a golden ticket to life
Let's all meet up
With one light, one mic
In a swimming pool of dreams that I made up
And Marco is out always getting high
And Polo is running away
I dead man float
Playing the wading game
Tasting patience might
Make you feel alright
But I got my floaties on
Day by day as I'm ready to play
The wading game

[Verse]
Yeah, Yeah
I'm ready to play
The game has already been in motion
Up in the shallow end
A droopy metemorphasiing corpse
Smoking, writing, recording in a hallow den
Of course
Wrapped in the force of the gallows
Then tryin' to get back what I always got
And that's the waiting game
Pool party at my house
For my party people's pain
Fuckin' wired so I make a wake
Look at the ripples that I made
Wade in the weary waters
Blazin' blunts up in my lazy shade
So go ahead
Rock your body
Put your hands up in the sky
And wonder to yourself
Why this guy hasn't rocked a mic yet
In due time they say
That's the fools doomed mindset
But recline my spine
And tried to cop the virtue of my time spent
You big toe dip
Oh no too cold
Soul below zero
I been frozen in the flow
Nearing progress cause everyone seemed to flake
Whatever
More space to practice my backstrokes
I been waiting here long enough
Someone will react, throw me a life raft
Might as well wait here and just
Ima' just, Ima just, Ima just
Hello
(Relax, Relax, Relax, Relax bro)
[Outro]
If you wanna win you gotta play
If you wanna win you gotta play
Play
Play
Play

Genius Annotation

The final track to this album was a personal message to Mark Henry. As a child through his upbringing as an only child with a single mother, he was able to receive most of anything of his liking.

He wanted results in the now. Always wanted things to happen as soon as they could because he saw the reality of these things being attainable; whatever they may be.

However, he is adressing the biggest struggle that ha has, which isn;t so much patience, but the ability to wait for good things to come. The stuggle of being a musician and artist has taken many tolls on Mark, creating exhaustion because things arent happening now.

He creates this waiting to be a game, and the whole time and space of waiting, while being productive, is a body of water with fluid motion. He advocates achieving the waiting process, is by playing the “wading” game in this body of fluidity.
