OTL 40: Milk Dee Excerpt #1 - Super Young Lyrics

SameOldShawn: So you started out super-young.

Milk Dee: Yeah. My first record came out when I was fourteen.

SOS: Which one was that?

MD: It was called "A Christmas Rhyme." It was a Christmas record on an independent label. Then we had another -- we called it the Flip Flop mini-album, which came out when I was fifteen. That was our first release on our label, First Priority Music. And then, "Top Billin'" came out in '86, when I was sixteen.

How to Format Lyrics:

  • Type out all lyrics, even repeating song parts like the chorus
  • Lyrics should be broken down into individual lines
  • Use section headers above different song parts like [Verse], [Chorus], etc.
  • Use italics (<i>lyric</i>) and bold (<b>lyric</b>) to distinguish between different vocalists in the same song part
  • If you don’t understand a lyric, use [?]
