Radio Free Europe (Radio Dub) Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Decide yourself if radio's gonna stay
Reason, it could polish up the gray
Put that, put that, put that in your wall
That this isn't country at all

[Pre-Chorus 1]
Ray beam station
Beside yourself

[Verse 2]
Deal a [?] absurd
Don't

[Pre-Chorus 2]
Straight off the boat
Where to go?

[Chorus]
Calling all
Calling all

[Verse 3]
Up the fall
Push that, push that, push that up your wall
That this isn't nothing at all
[Pre-Chorus 1]
Ray beam station
Beside yourself

[Chorus]
Calling all in transit
Calling all
Free Europe
Radio Free Europe

[Bridge]
Beside yourself
Calling on [?]
[?]

[Verse 4]
Keep me out of country in the world
[?] absurd

[Pre-Chorus 2]
Straight off the boat
Where to go?

[Chorus]
Calling all in transit
Calling all in transit
Radio Free Europe
Radio (Free Europe)
[Outro]
Calling all in transit
Calling all in transit
Radio Free Europe
Radio Free Europe

Genius Annotation

This remix of “Radio Free Europe” (jokingly called the “Radio Dub”) is even harder to decipher than other versions of the song, as the vocals randomly drop in and out, replaced by digital squeals. Like the other songs on Cassette Set, it was recorded by Mitch Easter in early 1981 and distributed to friends in advance of the band’s first official single.
