This unreleased song leaked on May of 2018 when Tay Walker uploaded this as a part of the release of his debut album One Way Street to Nowhere. It was quickly removed from the tracklist on streaming so it appears that the song was not yet intended to be officially released.
It is unknown when this song was recorded. This would have been Mac and Tay’s first collaboration aside from Tay having played keyboards in the music video for “Objects In The Mirror.”
When asked in a 2019 interview with Vocalstar what his favorite song that he had ever written was, Tay replied, “I’m very proud of the song I have with Mac Miller before he passed away, it’s called ‘Completely Transparent.’ We both stayed up all night making it and I have very good memories of that night.”
