Sunday Morning Lyrics

[Verse 1: 3rty]

I told you some secrets before
This one I've never told you
You know the way e dey before
Before I
Grew up and in a new house
Eveybody dey look round
My father get small money
Na him I dey take hold body, ah
Looking for happiness
That's why I make songs
Thank God for Indomie
That's why I stay strong
I keep on moving
I keep on moving, brother
I keep on moving
I keep on moving, ah
Time to wake up
Say my prayer
Forgive my brother
Wey like to mess up
And my guys wey dey owe me money
It's a brand new day
I wish my sorrows away
It's a brand new day
Old things passed away
And I, I, I'm
Going on my way to the top, top, top
Only tryna' do what is right, right, right
Trying to enjoy the ride, the ride
And my mama
Is worried that I'm wasting my time
While I'm busy writing these rhymes
Steady tryns pick on my grind
My grind
[Chorus: 3rty & Kid MARLEY]

All I'm saying's I'm sorry
All I'm saying's I'm sorry
All I'm saying's I'm sorry
All I'm saying's I'm sorry
I'm sorry
I'm sorry
All I'm saying's I'm sorry
All I'm saying's I'm sorry

[Verse 2: Kid MARLEY]

I'm sorry I couldn't keep a 9-5
I'm sorry I might die before I'm 95
I'm sorry every day I just dey strife
I'm sorry everyday I say what's on my mind
I'm sorry every time I put my mind in
I'm sorry every time I put my grind in
I put all my muscle and power
I'm sorry say me I no dey gara
I'm sorry say I just dey Jama
I'm sorry say I never hammer
I'm sorry that I'm chasing all my dreams
I'm sorry that I flow like the streams
I'm sorry that I see what you saw
I'm sorry that I see what you saw
I'm sorry that I cut like a saw
E dey pain them
These homies be asking for more
I never settle, I never settle
I never settle for less I'm going for more, yeah
Firm believer in Karma
You'd never see me settle the scores, yeah
So do am as you like
Do am how you like
Do what you want
But I'm going on
I'll head to the top
And I'll make my own
I'll make my name
Kid Marley, Marley, Marley
Got more game than a safari
When they see me they say sorry
But won o mo pe won o le ba mi
I'm sorry my time will come soon
Biko wanne n'epe nayna
I'm sorry
[Chorus: 3rty & Kid MARLEY]

All I'm saying's I'm sorry
All I'm saying's I'm sorry
All I'm saying's I'm sorry
All I'm saying's I'm sorry
I'm sorry
I'm sorry
All I'm saying's I'm sorry
All I'm saying's I'm sorry

About

Genius Annotation

Their story begins in 2015 at an event called Cave Wave 3. The both of them were billed to perform their music. This is where they met; where chemistry started.
This chemistry is not hard to miss. You can hear it on songs like Monkey Business off 3rty’s Magic EP and “The Search” off Kid Marley’s Denim EP. It only made sense that this synergy was used to create a full project.
And so this is where the story is, at The Grey Area.
The Grey Area is the debut collaborative album from the artists 3rty and Kid Marley. It is produced by London based producer, Tom Misch.
The first single off this album is called Sunday Morning.
Sunday Morning is a story told by two amazing storytellers. They take the subject of a Sunday Morning and give us their varying perspectives.
For 3rty, he relays the happenings of his life, both good and bad, to his friend on Sunday Morning. He tells him what goes wrong and also doesn’t forget to “thank God for Indomie” because he is thankful for the little things that make us whole.
For Kid Marley, Sunday Morning takes a different shape. He speaks to the hypocrisy of the average man. Kid Marley aims to expose how Sundays are kept holy for all the wrong reasons. How men make themselves angels on Sundays and shed their wings when tomorrow comes.
So this is what you should expect from this project. 3rty and Kid Marley are on a journey and telling you all about it – from their different perspectives of course.
The story continues.
