Almost a year after his last release ‘Before we Fade,’ Tristam returns to Monstercat for the Rocket League compilation with a significantly upbeat indie-house track, marking a tonal shift from his darker / more ominous music to a certainly optimistic future.

With references to previous lyrics, Tristam’s surprise return to the label that nurtured him came after a public statement that his next album might not be on Monstercat, or be EDM at all. While ‘Bone Dry’ certainly is reminiscent of his earlier works, the replacement of vocal chops for saw-heavy euphoric synths and a calmer approach to lyricism mark a definite shift in Tristam as an artist.

The full Rocket League x Monstercat compilation is slated for a July 5th release.
