Compared to White Men Are Black Men Too, this song is mellower. Next to the first single of the album “Lord”, it represents this album as less dance-able than their previous material, and more introspective than the political charge of WMABMT.

The lyrics as always are cryptic, and work better felt. They hint towards pain from a broken relationship and spreading bare the inner feelings of the male in the relationship.
