It’s only right Seattle is ranked #1. They’re the reigning champs and they’ll no doubt be jousting for the NFC’s top seed again.

I’m kind of superstitious, so I don’t think it’ll bode well if Sherman wins the Madden cover vote. Plus, repeating is a rarity in today’s NFL.

In spite of all that if there is one team that could do it in the uber-competitive league, this is it; their talent and depth is incredible.

These lines allude to the hook of Meek Mill’s “Dope Dealer” track:

Wanna fuck with a dope dealer?
Or keep fuckin’ them broke niggas?

Even though he was the last pick of the first round, Teddy Bridgewater finds himself a spot on this list.

It’s not surprising to see Teddy make the list – young QBs usually lead the rookie jersey sales, as they are usually seen as the most “exciting” or “sexy” draft picks, because they usually give a franchise hope for the future.

One of the dumber criticisms of Bridgewater.

In the 2013 Sugar Bowl, Teddy Bridgewater won the game and MVP honors by dissecting the Florida Gators defense for 266 yards and 2 TDs and a pick, while completing 20 of 32 passes. The Gators had one of the the best defenses in college football that year.

Florida safety Matt Elam stated that Bridgewater was the best QB that defense faced in 2012. That was quite the glowing recommendation considering UF played Zach Mettenberger, Tyler Bray, Aaron Murray, E.J. Manuel, and even the Heisman trophy winner Johnny Manziel.

Teddy Bridgewater would also obliterate the Miami Hurricanes in the 2013 Russell Athletic Bowl for 447 yards and 3 TDs with no picks on 35/45 passing, where he again won MVP honors.

It’s clear that even when he played tougher competition, Bridgewater still shined.

JJ Watt is easily the best defensive player in the league. The argument can be made that not only is Watt the best non-QB in the league, but that Watt is the best player in football, period.

Back in 2012, Watt had arguably the single greatest season by a defensive player of all-time. Many predicted that Watt would have a drop-off in 2013; many were wrong. Despite the Texans' struggles, Watt single-handedly carried the Texans defense, which still ranked top 10 in total yards allowed per game despite finishing a putrid 2-14.

Watt has broken the notoriously stingy PFF grading system, becoming the only player to finish a season with a total season grade higher than 100. Better yet, he’s done it TWICE.

Of course, this is assuming that the Texans keep the #1 draft choice and make a selection.

The Texans have been linked to reports of trading down.

A reference to the 1998 NFL Draft.

The top two quarterback prospects were Peyton Manning and Ryan Leaf. The Chargers traded up to the second pick to ensure they’d land one of the two QBs – both were touted as sure fire franchise quarterbacks. Some scouts (who should be banned from the league) suggested that Leaf deserved to be chosen over Manning because of his greater arm strength and higher potential.

The rest is history – Ryan Leaf was out of the league after just 4 years of poor play, marred with controversy. Leaf also has an extensive rap sheet including burglary and controlled substance charges, and is currently incarcerated in a correctional facility in Montana.

Ryan Leaf is not only considered one of the biggest busts in NFL history, but sports history. His counterpart Peyton Manning has gone on to become one of the most decorated quarterbacks in league history.

It seems LeBron recorded this back in August 2013, but the release of the freestyle is perhaps apart of an April Fool’s joke.

After the release of the song, LeBron tweeted that’d he’d be releasing a mixtape entitled King Me, before announcing it as an April Fool’s joke a half hour later.
