The title of this piece made me skeptical coming in but I’m almost convinced and this argument makes a lot of sense. I read an article last year about Twitter’s struggles to monetize and how each social network that spawned from taking one part of a social media (Twitter with the feed, Instagram with the pictures etc.) eventually becomes more and more like Facebook. I know this isn’t exactly measurable but the “coolness” factor of Twitter goes down with each move towards a more FB style platform.

I’m surprised it’s even a quarter tbh. On the other hand, the old people stats are surprising no one. I started working at a church a few months ago (I’m not religious though) and the only people I see there are seniors or kids that are forced to go to Bible School/Confirmation.

How much of an impact do you think the internet has had on this? It provides a much easier way to spread information, and also realize that you’re not alone.

are they actually though? or are they just defending themselves? that’s not to dismiss the human rights violations of the two groups, but we mustn’t ignore our own atrocities in the process. we’re not being bombed daily in the u.s. so who’s really doing the “attacking”?
