Kasek’s explanation is accurate. Though I used flop to describe not reaching what is expected of me (ex: ‘His album flopped!’), I can see how people could interpret it his way, too.

One thing I don’t want to do with my music is sell myself out to get more hits or some kind of advantage. Or as many say, I won’t be ‘fake’.

“He’s flopping, ref!”

You know, the people that are really saying something are often ignored.

People want those club bangers 24/7. smh lol

You’re trying to get to where you want to be and it’s been tough, but you have your eyes on something potentially great.

Not literally or in the evil since. What I mean is having the love and respect of everyone. Of course in this song, I’m talking about music specifically.

This part wasn’t in the original song. I felt it would make the song stronger in the end and it really raises many questions. The friend knew that the older kid counted 90, right? Maybe he wasn’t going to tell him originally but felt bad? Was the older kid going to give the friend the split of the amount that he stole? There are a lot of possibilities, really.

I have no plans to making a sequel, btw. It’d probably be whack. lol

Though this story is fictional, I thought about using my parents for this part. I ended up just doing it myself because I preferred this song being a ‘one man show’.

With that said, if you’ve been around my parents, you’ll notice I was quite accurate. My brother Jonathan thought this part was funny.

Older kid made the horrible decision of trying to short them…lost it all.

Scare tactics. Probably a good idea, especially if his parents are home. Wouldn’t want him to have to explain what he did, I’m sure.

Now he’s outside with him looking like this:
