Wale’s effectively stating that despite all the hate/attacks he may receive from other artists, detractors, and even executives, he’s still making money and dropping hits (being represented by gold plaques) by referencing Ric Flair again.

Back in his heyday, the ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair, as NWA Champion would travel from town to town to wrestle the hometown good guy – who would “try to fuck up his money” by beating him – often retaining his championship in the process, thus “leaving with the gold.”
