If it’s a non-musical (anything in Poetry Genius/News Genius) page that gets over 1000 views (subject to change if this seems too easy), you get an additional point
- If this happens, please let me know, it’s gonna be hard enough to keep track of 20 people’s annotations, which ones are done on their Designated Artist, subtracting those done on their own work, etc. Shoot me a message or email me at tomi@rapgenius.com
If it’s a musical page that gets over 1 million views, you get an additional 5 points
If the non-musical text gets over 1000 views anytime during the season, you get an extra point when it does

EDIT: There is a cap for transcriptions. Only 100 transcriptions count each week.
I compare this to the snitch. You get this and you will most likely win that week. HOWEVER, there’s a lot of risk with it because you could spend a lot of time writing one and it won’t count.
- You can only try for one a week
- It’s gotta be interesting
- Can’t be some kind of list thing
- Blog posts are done on song pages under Poetry Genius
- Don’t send me a message being like “hey will this idea be trill” that totally takes away from all the risk. I’ll only tell you if an idea/post is good when it’s all written. No whining if you get rejected.
RGUK blog posts may count, but what’s the difference between RGUK blog posts and other blog posts? As long as RGUK blog posts aren’t just updates or stale topics then yeah totally cool! For instance, I probably wouldn’t count that RGUK Perspective: Joey Bada$$ post because, while interesting, I would count it more as a forum post than a blog post tbh
Annotations on the blog post itself won’t count BUT if a blog post doesn’t have annotations on it I won’t count the blog post…
