Besides being the father of film director Francis Ford Coppola and actress Talia Shire, Carmine Coppola (1910-1991) was a flutist, conductor, and composer who contributed music to his son’s films as well as others. He won an Oscar for his music for The Godfather Part II and a Golden Globe for Apocalypse Now.
