While not a rap artist in the normal sense, Joe Cool is nonetheless an important part of the culture. Being a graphic artist and close friends with Snoop Dogg, Cool was given the opportunity to illustrate the covers for Snoop’s debut album, Doggystyle, as well as artwork for the covers of his first singles and even a mini-comic.
