Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, Kelby is currently based in San Diego, CA. His lyrics are poignant and thoughtful, evoking powerful emotions for the careful listener. His focus is in promoting a socially conscious movement within the hip-hop community. Kelby has previously written and performed as guitarist/rapper for Bears On Parade, and later the Open Mic Champs, notably winning Battle of the Bands at San Diego State University in 2016. Kelby now focuses on his solo career, as well as rapping with Doc Roman to form Brothers At Large. Flow N' Mind.
