Lateef the Truthspeaker (born Lateef Daumont) is a rapper of African American and Puerto Rican descent, based in Oakland, California. He is a member of several rap groups including Latyrx (with Lyrics Born), Lateef & the Chief (with Chief XCel) and The Mighty Underdogs. He was also a founding member of the Solesides collective and label.
