Stephen Joseph Malkmus (born May 30, 1966) is an American musician best known as the lead singer and guitarist of the indie rock band Pavement. After Pavement disbanded he performed with Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks. In 2019, he released the solo album Groove Denied.
