Futile – the winds –
To a heart in port –
Done with the compass –
Done with the chart!
“A heart in port” is a heart that has made up its mind, or is in love. Once you are in love you are stuck there, and no “winds” are going to make you move and the effort is “futile.” Finally you don’t need a map or a directions if you are already in love so you are “done” with them.
