However, this wasn’t a widespread practice despite its repeated mentions. Historians also believe that the disease might’ve reached them even before the blankets were doled out.
That they “embroidered the land” also suggests that early American officials planted deceptive actions and oppressive deep within the cultural fabric of America. Also, industrialization has had the effect of making land, from far above, look like a patchwork blanket
