God Bless America Lyrics
[Intro]
I pledge allegiance to the Flag
Of the United States of America
And to the republic for which it stands
One nation under god, indivisible
With liberty and justice for all
[Verse 1]
Don't worry white America, no need to fear a nigga
Don't worry Fox News, your boy ain't gonna kill a nigga
Tell 'em that it's all good, yeah, man, it's all good
Look, I won't do no harm, but I'll wear my hood all through your hood
Making sure it's all right cause they hood is all white
And they might cop a plea if they shoot up this Dark Knight
Until it bleeds sunlight and I won't even fight
But there'll still be a side that looks at me as the bad guy
[Hook]
Welcome to the land that dreams are really made of
God Bless America, I hope we never wake up
Welcome to the land where dreams are really made up
God Bless America and everything it's made up
God Bless America
[Verse 2]
Tryna get my riches, pull a Zimmerman on me
Cause they hate to see me shine, put a dimmer switch on me
Sayin' Parks ain't move up out her seat to allow a nigga like me
Parks ain't move up out her seat to allow a nigga like me
But, welcome to the land where anything can happen
Put us at a disadvantage and we made a million trappin'
Couldn't teach a nigga English, now we made some millions rappin'
I ain't sayin' that they right, but tell me niggas ain't pull magic
I pledge allegiance to the Flag
Of the United States of America
And to the republic for which it stands
One nation under god, indivisible
With liberty and justice for all

About
Genius Annotation
I thought of the chorus first and I ended up rewriting this song 2/3 times and had different approaches. I just decided to not get ultra preachy or black nationalist, but instead rap/write how I actually feel and how I would actually talk about this shit.

I fucking love the chorus a lot. While I like this song, I pretty much scrubbed it because I wrote Yeezy Rant and felt like that captured my feelings better. Not that this was a bad song but the instrumental structure was limiting. There was just too much happening for something commercialized when I could just go all out.
