This hook speaks to being self-aware. Weapons of the weak could include drugs, alcohol, sex — basically, major human vices. Knowing the weakness of the heart speaks to always keeping heart and making sure your heart’s in it. Never fall asleep speaks to staying vigilant. Never let the weapons of the weak or the weakness of the heart take hold and influence you. I believe he’s preaching a more positive message than he’s being given credit here.
