Phone bill about two G's flat

from The Notorious B.I.G. – Juicy Lyrics on Rap Genius

Meaning

In the 90s, land line phone calling was cheap. It would be pretty hard to get it all the way to 2.000 flat, unless you were making a lot of long distance calls. (G’s is slang for thousand dollar, while 2 G’s are 2.000$, etc.)

Back in those days, NYNEX was the phone provider for NY. It was common practice for NYNEX and all “baby bells” to have a local (in your area code) calling, regional (within your area and surrounding area codes), and long distance calling plans. Perhaps calling out of the region cost a lot, but for a fact; cellular telephony was expensive, usually hundreds of dollars. The music video for Warning indicates he did have one of those brick phones although not as huge as in the 80s.

Biggie also had a pager (Like texting, except the only thing you could text is a callback number). In Warning, he starts off the verse by asking “Who the fuck is this? Paging me at 5:46 in the morning?"

Maybe that’s how he racked up such a high phone bill.
