I shed a tear before the night's over
God bless the man I put this ice over
These lines can be seen as a prayer — Ross is thanking God for his blessings and Ross ‘pays back the favor’ by encrusting Jesus as his diamond-encrusted pendant.
It’s also possible that these lines are more of a plea to pray for a man he just killed or saw die. Dead bodies often referred to as being put “on ice”. “Shedding a tear” could refer to a death-related teardrop tattoo under his eye, or for literally crying because of committing a terrible sin.
On November 27th, 2012, Rick Ross tweeted this line, apparently confirming that it’s “this ice over”, not “this Zeiss over” or “the sights over” as has been claimed.
