The Giants franchise QB is coming off a terrible 2013 season, where he threw 27 INTs and only 18 TDs. Even though the receiving corp is to blame as well, Eli didn’t look as sharp as he did in the past years.

After last year’s horrible campaign Eli Manning and the Giants are looking to start the new season with a win on the road in Detroit. The Lions on the other hand want to impress their home crowd after not making the playoffs last season.
In the offseason the New York team hired a new offensive coordinator but they lost Hakeem Nicks to the Colts and their first round pick, Odell Beckham Jr, won’t be on the field. With a new head coach and a healthy Calvin Johnson the Detroit offense is looking really strong on paper.
The offensive line of the Giants will have to bring their A game and protect their QB, or it’ll be a long night for Eli.
