Guard the treasures in the chambers, halls and vaults
The double meaning continues. Here GZA is talking about an ancient empire guarding their treasures, but the metaphor is in that he is actually speaking about the Wu holding their treasures in RZA’s vaults in his basement where he produced much of the Wu-Tang classic material. The ‘treasure’ meaning the beats and songs he made. The word ‘chamber’ comes into play because as we all know, the Wu took us all through 36 of them in 1993.
