Mystery god/Spook god -

from Nation of Gods and Earths – Some Five Percent Terms on Rap Genius

Meaning

The “mystery god” (small g) refers to any school of thinking that paints God as above man. In the beginning, Clarence 13X left the Nation of Islam due to Elijah Muhammad’s teaching that Father Fard was Allah despite the fact he was not an original man and had since disappeared into mystery. He saw this as contradicting the Supreme Wisdom lessons.

One of the core beliefs of the Nation of Gods and Earths is that a practicing member is the God of his own Cypher (Cypher here roughly means “life, and everything that occurs in it,” for more information peep RG’s breakdown of the Supreme Alphabet). God is within you, and any religion that urges people to look outwards for God is accused of following this “mystery god.”

“Spook god” is an alternate term that carries some additional vitriol due to racial connotations surrounding the word spook.
