K.R.I.T. has seen successful artists that are “free” from the confinement of label pressure. Most of which probably own their own labels or have proven themselves “worthy” of creative freedom. I.e. Kanye, Jay Z, T.I. Erika Badu, Cee lo, etc. He understands that this dream of creative freedom is not impossible to obtain, but right now it is “too far” to pursue without “shoes” or label support which provide budgeting for tours, features/videos, and distribution.
