I smell a hint of charred child flesh sweeping through my quarters
Children have always been a representation of innocence which fits well with the idea that before humans ate the sacred fruit in the garden of Eden, they were innocent. Not only in the sense that they hadn’t yet disobeyed God, but more so in the fact that we did not have knowledge of evil at that time.
When the fruit was consumed, the innocence of our inner child was destroyed. If this song has any sort of common theme, it is that the outside world will take away your innocence. Something which Aesop attempts to fight by not addressing the outside world.
