Created Hinduism, the first caste system, the origins of racism
A white dot on the forehead meant elite
The black dot - defeat; untrustable, untouchables
Hinduism originated with the invasion of racially white Persians, called Aryans, into India, which was populated by dark-skinned people. The conquering Aryans set up a religious system that put them on top, and Aryans were easily recognizable for their light skin. Thus, darker skinned people were deemed inferior. This carried over into the Hindu caste system, where a white dot on a person’s forehead signified “elite,” while a black dot meant “untouchable.” Even today, Indian culture puts an emphasis on “fairness” — i.e., light skin.
Interestingly, Hitler referred to a specific subset of the white race as “Aryan,” and also appropriate the Hindu Swastika as the symbol of the Nazi Party
